Saint-Eustache, March 23rd, 2020 – EMD-Batimo, an owner and operator of retirement residences has rapidly implemented a series of exceptional measures in the wake of government recommendations, in order to ensure the health, well-being and the safety of its residents and its valued employees who are making all the difference right now.
“We strongly encourage families to follow the recommendations of the government authorities and to keep their distances from our senior citizens, in order to provide them with the maximum protection. That being said, we need your cooperation in order to help break their isolation. Call your friends, parents and grandparents and use all the technologies at your fingertips to keep in touch with them, but do it in a safe manner!” said Francis Charron, President of Batimo and Vice President of EMD Construction.
EMD-Batimo employees will continue to offer a host of activities that respect social distancing, in order to enhance the daily lives and preserve the physical and mental health of retirees who are currently living in isolation.
As a responsible and proactive company, EMD-Batimo quickly implemented government issued hygiene measures and recommendations and continue to closely monitor ongoing developments.
“There is nothing more important than the health of our residents and employees. In order to minimize the risks and protect our most vulnerable senior residents from COVID-19, The EMD-Batimo team have put all measures in place to minimize the risk of spreading the virus. ‘I want to offer a heartfelt thanks to our wonderful and dedicated team which have been at the forefront in delivering quality care to our residents. Every single one of you are making a difference in people’s lives!’ notes Charron.
Our senior citizens remain particularly vulnerable in the current situation. To provide the necessary support in this time of crisis, EMD-Batimo is mobilizing volunteers, who will contribute to the well-being of our residents by helping them accomplish daily or weekly tasks of which they cannot do while they are confined to their living quarters during the coming weeks.
“Rest assured that safety, health and well-being remain our top priorities in implementing this initiative and we will take into account public health recommendations when choosing each volunteer.” said Charron.
