B\u00e2timo and EMD Construction are pleased to announce their partnership with Immostar and Chartwell and an investment of more than $100 million for the redevelopment of Mail Cap-Rouge, located in Quebec City. This mixed-use megaproject includes the revitalization of the shopping center and the creation of a new retirement residence.<\/span> \u201cCap-Rouge is a great location for seniors to stay active and involved in a peaceful community with a view of the beautiful surrounding nature while benefiting from a lifestyle which includes a variety of on-site services, programs and shops.\u201d Francis Charron, President of B\u00e2timo and Vice-President of EMD Construction echoes Mr. Camerlain\u2019s opinion: \u201cThis new complex, ideally positioned within the mall and steps away from many shops and services, will be very beneficial to residents as well as to local cultural and leisure facilities.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/span>Chartwell Retirement Residences, the largest owner and manager of retirement housing in Canada, in partnership with B\u00e2timo and EMD Construction, will build a new residence adjacent to Mail Cap-Rouge, a unique feature in the Cap-Rouge area. This one-phase residence will consist of 360 units including studios, 3 \u00bd, 4 \u00bd and 5 \u00bd, as well as 36 high-end units for semi-independent living. Combining nature, prestige and direct access to the mall, this residential complex represents an investment of $78.5 million and is expected to generate about 350 jobs during its construction. About 50 permanent positions will also be created once the residence is fully operational. The first residents should be able to move in by summer 2019.<\/span>

\n<\/span>The retirement residence will offer bright and spacious apartments for active seniors in the Cap-Rouge community, with the peace of mind of knowing that additional support is available on-site. Residents will have access to numerous amenities, including a demonstration kitchen, a beautiful library, arts and crafts room, a gym and yoga studio, while also having the opportunity to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine with friends in the bistro or dining areas. The residence, easily accessible by highways 40 and 540, will be located within Mail Cap-Rouge, close to key convenient amenities such as a pharmacy, a bank, gas station, postal office, SAQ and many restaurants. Also, Cap Rouge\u2019s Golf Club, Jacques-Cartier Park, Cap-Rouge river and a walking path are in close proximity.<\/span>
