This holiday season, Francis Charron, president of Batimo, has the privilege to be honorary co-president of the Chevaliers de Colomb of Saint-Eustache’s 103rd food drive. A goal of 1000 baskets has been set for this year’s collection.
“I’m counting on the help of my team to reach our enormous goal together, so that Christmas is the same for every family, regardless of its financial status,” said Francis Charron.
On December 1st, several EMD Construction – Batimo employees took part in the food drive, going door to door in St-Eustache. Food is also being collected in the company’s many real estate projects in the Montreal and Quebec City regions. Le Nobilis Retirement Complex has notably amassed 32 Christmas baskets and nearly $ 1,400 in donations.
In the same spirit, on November 30th, the EMD – Batimo team also organized, cooked and served a Christmas spaghetti dinner for 160 members of Christ-Roi Parish in St-Eustache.. A friendly competition was led by Activac, to help motivate the 50 employees present to prepare this community meal for families in need. Many sauce containers were also donated to the Racine Lavoie community center. Several local businesses also contributed to the success of this event, including: IGA Marché Hébert, Ralik, Art Vinyl and Boston Pizza St-Eustache.
