Bâtimo Announces Second Lib Complex in Pointe-Claire

Bâtimo, a major developer and Quebec real estate manager, and his partner Capital Property Development (CPD) Inc., announced the Lib Pointe-Claire, a new multi-residential development of 204 apartments, representing an investment of $43.6 million and economic spinoffs of $130 million. Lib is a concept designed in the spirit of conviviality and serenity for active people aged 55 and over, offering them a zen and welcoming environment, including many common areas. Lib Pointe-Claire will welcome its first residents in September 2018.

The construction of this complex of 204 apartments spread over seven floors, provided by EMD Construction, began last August and will end in August 2018 to accommodate the first tenants in the Fall 2019. Taking up the concept and the motto of the Lib – Mieux vivre en liberté (A better Life in Freedom) – which made the success of the first residence of this type in Boisbriand, the Lib Pointe-Claire will offer interiors developed with care such as a convivial bistro, a welcoming multipurpose room and lovely erraces. The building will also include an exercise room, swimming pool, billiard and petanque courts to allow residents to indulge in their favorite physical and recreational activities.

Located at the corner of Hymus Boulevard and Stillview Avenue, the Lib Pointe-Claire is within walking distance of Beaconsfield and Cedar Park stations, and close to several grocery stores, department stores, parks (William Crosgrove Park, Olympia Park, Cap-Saint- Jacques Nature Park) and entertainment (Pointe-Claire Aquatic Center, Excellence Ice Arena, Beaconsfield and Dorval Golf Courses, Ecomuseum Zoo). “We are particularly proud to build our second Lib concept and to offer future residents an exceptional living environment with many common spaces that they can enjoy in complete freedom,” says Francis Charron, President of Batimo.

The first Lib concept, which opened in Boisbriand in 2017, was twice honored at the Habitat and Design Awards 2017 with the Public Choice Award and The Best Lighting Concept Award in the developed unit (under $325,000 category).
